THE HAND BEHIND THE POST
Hello, from this side of the envelope.
A short note on who's drawing, painting, writing, and packing every parcel — and why.

— MY STORY
Why I started The Margin Collective.
A
few years ago I noticed that the things I loved most — painting, drawing, writing letters — had quietly slipped to the margins of my days, crowded out by screens and the rush of everything being.
I'm a quiet creative based in Pretoria — not a professional, just someone who can't stop creating things. I work in acrylics, oil pastels, and pen — slow mediums, the kind that ask you to sit still for a while. Somewhere along the way I realised I missed the feeling of making something with my hands just for the joy of it.
The Margin Collective is my small attempt to bring that feeling back — for myself, and for anyone who wants it. Every month I make an original print, write a letter by hand, and pack a few creative bits and pieces into an envelope.
I hope it brings you the same quiet thrill I had as a kid, finding something made just for me waiting in the postbox.
— with love, Anouk

There's a particular kind of joy in waiting for something — and in making something slowly, with your own two hands.
